چکیده
Introduction: Neonatal resuscitation is a means to restore life baby from the state of asphyxia. It can end in either survival or death. Survivors may develop short-term complications immediate postnatal period. Objective: Determine outcomes following neonatal resuscitation. Materials and Methods: A retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted for seven months running November 2021 June 2022 two hospitals Yaounde. Admission files newborns who benefited at birth year 2019 were included. We recorded clinical characteristics (gestational age, gender, weight), frequency transfers, duration admission, rate types an operating sheet The results analysed using IBM SPSS 23.0 software data expressed as frequencies, percentages, means. threshold significance set 5%. Results: total 245 mean gestational age delivery 36.7 ± 3.6 weeks with minimum maximum 25 46 respectively. 61.6% born term male sex (55.5%, ratio 1.25). average weight 2748.4 794.3 g (range: 800 - 5600 g) 62.4% weighing between 2500 4000 g. 97.1% transferred neonatology unit median length hospitalization 5 days. during 26.9% hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy most common (97%). Newborns resuscitated more than minutes likely complication. Conclusion: Hypoxic-ischaemic frequent complication post-resuscitation prolonged favoured development complications.

Impact of Video-recorded Debriefing and Neonatal Resuscitation Program Workshops on Short-term Outcomes and Quality of Neonatal Resuscitation
Background: The goal of neonatal resuscitation is to prevent death and further complications, reestablish spontaneous respiration, and achieve sufficient cardiac output. Inappropriate or wrong resuscitation will result in the death of neonates or long-term side effects. The present study was performed to compare the effects of video-recorded debriefing and neonatal resuscitation program (NRP) w...

Introduction: The risk of morbidity and mortality increases in neonates admitted to the neonatal intensive care units (NICUs). Various factors contribute to the prognosis of these newborns. In the current study, we aimed to investigate the role of mode of delivery on short-term neonatal outcomes. Methods: This retrospective study was conducted on 215 neonates admitted to the NICU of Shohada-e-T...

متن کاملInitial Resuscitation at Delivery and Short Term Neonatal Outcomes in Very-Low-Birth-Weight Infants
Survival of very-low-birth-weight infants (VLBWI) depends on professional perinatal management that begins at delivery. Korean Neonatal Network data on neonatal resuscitation management and initial care of VLBWI of less than 33 weeks gestation born from January 2013 to June 2014 were reviewed to investigate the current practice of neonatal resuscitation in Korea. Antenatal data, perinatal data,...
